Overview
3D-GEO has core skills in seismic interpretation and structural data analysis leading to the development of 2D and 3D geological models. With 3D-GEO’s range of software and team of experts, we prefer a collaborative effort performed at the 3D-GEO facilities in Melbourne Australia. However, services can be performed in the client’s office and either way, 3D-GEO welcomes the active participation of the client’s personnel in projects and studies. Prospect generation and validation
Generators of new structural play concepts. We develop and test structural interpretations using a seismic and structural approach using a combination of software from Schlumberger, Petrosys and Midland Valley. Prospect volumes and potential resources can be assessed deterministically or probabilistically. Geotechnical risks can be identified and quantified using internal risking questionnaires and software.
Portfolio Management
With qualifications in Prince2 and PMBOK, 3D-GEO can Project Manage your exploration program from start to finish. Our personnel have the technical skills and depth of E&P experience to manage client company exploration portfolios from block application, geological and geophysical studies, work programme planning and operations, management and joint venture meetings, divestments and farm-outs and risked and ranked prospect inventory management. Petroleum Field Development Studies and Permit Reviews
We assimilate available seismic, stratigraphic/structural data, reservoir performance and production data to assess specific oil or gas field behaviour patterns through the application of our core skills. We apply Geomorpher to restore individual seismic lines and validate the interpretation. 2D/3D structural models and visualisations
Interpreters of 2D/3D seismic data using modern structural models creating 3D reservoir models and 3D visualisations (For further information please view the 3D-Geo publication titled 3D Structural Modelling Of The Moran Oilfield, Papua New Guinea). We apply Geomorpher to restore individual seismic lines and validate the interpretation. Our interpreters are adept at using most PC or Unix based interpretation packages including Landmark, Schlumberger, Paradigm and Petrosys. Resource effective review of Government gazettal and farm-out data evaluations. With decades of Petroleum Industry New Ventures experience, 3D-GEO can quickly review new opportunities and supply concise reports on hydrocarbon prospectivity. Mapping of migration pathways at the time of hydrocarbon generation can greatly assist with ranking of prospects. We structurally restore, decompact and predict paleo-water depth for reservoir or carrier horizons. Optimal collection and structural interpretation of field data
We optimize collection of field data to avoid expensive repeat visits. We digitise data and generate computer models in the field to show critical data collection areas.
Training and Research
We offer a variety of structural, seismic and tectonic workshops.
